We went over to my sister's house tonight so that Derick could help them with their roof, and hopefully they can finish it up tonight... I borrowed my nieces computer and was able to post some pictures - YAY! Thanks Amanda!:) I hate it though when I think I have put the pictures in the right order and I haven't, so sorry about that;)
They had a couple of different videos of Jake so we watched those, I haven't seen them before. He is such a CUTIE! Love you Jakers!!!
Graduation Day
Yesterday was a great day for the Sprunt family. Mette & Mike's son Nikolas, graduated high school! 2 down and 1 more to go for them:) I guess it started with Mette making breakfast for Nik and a few of his fellow seniors. Then Mette and I went to Costco in Orem to buy food for the BBQ we were having after the graduation. Mette and Mike are getting their roof re-roofed, and because of that we had the BBQ at our house. So glad that we live close enough to be a help in need, love that sister of mine:) It was jam packed at the graduation. Mette and Amanda and a couple of friends of Amanda's were able to save us some seats so that we could all sit together. It's also nice that we didn't need tickets to get in, they are just a pain... I am bummed because I can't pull up the pictures on my computer that I took last night. I can see them on my camera, thank goodness - I got a little nervous that they were all gone when I couldn't see them on the computer, but I put the memory card back in the camera and they were all there, phew! (Derick will have to help me tonight when he gets home.) As we were there I looked over at Zane, and what do you know - he fell asleep! I can't believe that he could sleep on those uncomfortable chairs and with all the noise. He must have been tuckered out, poor kid;) Mike has a son from a previous marriage, his name is Chad, and he and his wife Lacey and their daughter Kylie came too. Kylie is such a charmer and she kept us entertained. When we all came home to our house afterwards, McCall and Zane were so cute to her and played with her and got out toys for her (although all we have are boy toys.. her mom said that she does like playing with cars and so that is what the boys found for her) They LOVE little kids and are so kind and gentle to them. I think they are missing Jake when I see them taking care of a younger kid. Writing this made me cry, cause I miss that little rascal too. I think yesterday was a success, and I am so proud of Nik. He is such an awesome young man, and I love it how my kids look up to him and how he plays with them. In just a few more months he can send in his mission papers, and then we won't see him for 2 years:( That's ok though, cause he will be doing exactly what he needs to do ---> going out into the world to share the gospel with everyone. We will miss him terribly, and I know especially his little sister Amanda will. She doesn't even want to talk about it, that's how sad she is, but happy at the same time. I know it sounds weird, but you know that feeling too. Happy and sad at the same time;)
On Monday it was Memorial Day. Derick doesn't get any holidays off work, so after he came home from work we went to the cemetery. It was so beautiful there. Everyone had put flowers, sometimes multiple flowers on their loves ones grave, and it transformed the whole look and feel of the cemetery. It's still tough for me to go there, knowing that his body is laying 6 feet under. Thank God I know that his spirit is in heaven with our Heavenly Father! I still want to hold him and have him give me one of his hugs... One day he will again:)
It's the last day of May already. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Tomorrow is the kids last day of school, although they are home today cause I told them they could;-} It's not like they are doing anything of utmost importance anyway, so why not? They are going tomorrow just to say goodbye to their teachers and friends. Some of their friends they will see over the summer, but most of them they won't until school starts again in the fall. Technically I can't say that it's the fall when they go back since school starts on August 21st, but you get my drift;)
I will post pictures as soon as I can...

Procrastinator
I am the biggest procrastinator in the world!!! I have a project that I need to get started on, but I keep putting it off. I need to be done with it soon, but have I even started yet? Nope! I need to recruit my sister, she is one to get this going. Yes, it is settled, she will be my go to person:)
This weather we have been having the last couple of weeks has been weird, again. And yes, I know this is what we get cause we live in Utah. A few nights ago it was so incredibly loud with thunder, lightning and rain. I was so surprised the kids didn't wake up(but glad they were able to sleep through it). I thought for sure Derick would have heard it, but no. Apparently I was the only one... Being awake in the middle of the night, and not because you are taking care of a baby, sucks. It makes everything in life seem worse - at least it does for me. My brain works overtime and I tend to freak out over things. Then it is morning again, and I wonder why in the world was I freaking out??? I always feel so much better too when I can talk things out with Derick. He has a way of putting things into perspective, and I love that:)
McCall hasn't really had a lot of homework this year. He is really good at getting things finished up at school, if possible. But this week he has had to work on a science paper. Wow, if this is what it will be like the older he gets, then I feel sorry for him! He has only had 4 days to work on it, because it was due today, and he finally finished it last night at 9:30! Sure hope he gets an awesome grade cause he put a lot of work into it. I have been looking forward to school being out since last September. I know. I am weird;) Now it is only a matter of weeks instead of months until they are out! Actually, counting weekends and Memorial Day, it is exactly 28 days until they're done! YAY!!!
Grrrr! The bottom part of the wasp trap I put out in the back yard has come off, so I need to go and put it back on. I probably need to put something else in that trap to attract those pesky things. I think I'll dilute some maple syrup, maybe that will work. Stupid wasps! We had our sliding door open one Sunday after church, and there is a whole on the screen. McCall was sitting on the ottoman, and wouldn't you know it, a wasp had gotten inside, was on that ottoman and stung McCall. I know from experience that it feels like you are burned when they sting you, and McCall screamed out "OOOOOOHHH, the searing pain!" Hahaha, he is so dramatic:) The good thing about wasps is that it hurts for a little while but then it is gone, unlike mosquito bites. Thankfully we don't have anyone allergic to those annoying bugs.
I was watching a Norwegian comedy on youtube called "Mot i Brostet", and it made me miss Norway a lot. Not living there, but to visit and be around that peculiar people that I stem from again:) Norway in summer is beautiful! If your lucky with the weather... We have told McCall that when he is a teen, around 16-17, we want him to go and spend a summer there with his cousins. It makes me sad that he has a cousin his own age that he doesn't even know. But this would be a great way for him to get to know him and my side of the family better:) Hopefully this is something that can happen when the time comes:)
It's Friday, it's Friday! I am so happy it is Friday!!! Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
