We had a great time with family yesterday to celebrate McCall's birthday. It's become a tradition to serve lasagna for his birthday dinner, cause that's one of his favorite meals. I usually make it, but this year I decided to buy it from Costco. It was really good. Doug and Carol brought a salad bar and Barbara and Brent brought garlic bread -YUM!:) I did make the ice cream cake, though. Usually I buy that at Costco, but McCall decided that he would like a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake and my sister had a recipe that was SUPER easy, so I just made that. It was delicious and I actually made 2 since not everyone likes mint. One is just vanilla, but oh so good! Reading this right now makes me happy that we have left over ice cream cake, that is my favorite food!
I love it when our family comes over, even if there might be some chaos, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
Yesterday it was 3 weeks until my niece, Kristine gets married! I can't believe she's actually old enough to do that! I am very excited for her and Brenton and I am also excited to go to her bridal shower this Friday.
Since Kristine is getting married, my mom is coming and I am counting down the days until she gets here:) 10 days!!!:)

This is way overdue, but I am finally getting around to writing here again:)
McCall is 10 today!!! Holy cow, makes me feel OLD! It's so weird to think that I have a 10 year old. He is an awesome kid and I am so proud of him. He is so much fun to be around and he is so kind and considerate. One thing is for sure, if you don't have anything to do or say, McCall will fill in the blanks - he has a fun personality and can talk, and talk, and talk:) He must get that from me;-} I am really blessed to have such a fine young man be my son and I love him so much. Just wish I could have him stop growing up so fast! When he was little I used to want him to be older, in fact, that's how I've felt with all three of them. Up until last year. Now all I want is to cherish the precious moments we have, cause they fly by so fast. Zane is a sweetie too, and he loves the attention McCall gives him:) Happy Birthday McCall - I LOVE YOU!
Derick has been sick for the last couple of days, but he has had to go to work anyway. He is crazy busy with work and school, so being sick is just not very convenient right now. Not that it's ever convenient... Just hope he can get rid of whatever it is he has, I'm thinkin' it's the flu cause of his symptoms, but what do I know? Just pray the rest of us don't get it.
OK, I gotta go now. We are going bowling for McCall's birthday and we are picking up one of his friends. I'll post some pics on here later.
